HIKING

Gain insight into life and work in rural Meghalaya, amidst the green hilly landscape. Discover the vibrant root bridges, waterfalls and crystal clear streams.

TREKKING up to 3,600 meters

  • Location: Green hills to Shillong
  • Maximum Altitude : 2,000 meters
  • Duration: 5 hours
  • Type of accommodation: Homestay/Inn

Enjoy the green hilly landscape of “Indian Scotland” on a historic hiking trail. Cross the Sacred Forest and follow the historic trail through green hills to Shillong. If you wish, you can lend a hand with the daily work of the farmers.

  • Duration: 6 hours
  • Type of accommodation: Guesthouse/hotel

Trek to the spiritual center and administrative headquarters of the Khyrim Syiemship and the Khasi people. If you have the opportunity and are interested, you can lend a hand with the daily work.

  • Location: Green hills to the high plateau in the southern foothills of the Khasi Hills.
  • Maximum Altitude : 1,400 m
  • Duration: 2 to 3 days
  • Type of accommodation: Guesthouse/lodge/tent
