Bhutan crossing
Private tours Sikkim – Nature trip
Tour description
This Bhutan tour takes you to the most interesting areas of the traditional Himalayan kingdom between Tibet and India: From central Bhutan you will travel through the Himalayan state and finally leave Bhutan by land via the Indian state of Assam.
Discover this truly unique country with its rich Tibetan Buddhist cultural heritage and spectacular mountain scenery. You will feel transported to completely different world and another age. This is because laws were passed early on to protect and promote the unique Bhutanese architecture, so that Bhutan has been spared the aesthetically unpleasant buildings that are springing up like mushrooms elsewhere in Asia. You will meet weavers, market women, farmers, monks and nuns. In Bumthang, the ‘Valley of Women’, you will gain deep and unique insights into the country and its people, visit Bhutan’s unique monastery fortresses, walk through authentic cultural landscapes and observe the original, simple cultivation of cattle and land. All of this is in a sparsely populated, traditional and environmentally conscious country with vast, untouched forests rich in orchids, magnolias and rhododendrons, all surrounded by snow-capped Himalayan giants to the north.
