Tea city of Darjeeling
We also offer all of our tours as private tours – at your best time and with your desired program.
Let your Darjeeling tour to the Northeastern Himalayas begin or end in peace and style. We whisk you away to a world with a view of Mt. Khangchendzonga, far away from the hectic and chaotic big cities. The lovingly furnished and charmingly run tea garden retreat in the middle of the hotel’s own extensive plantations invites you to relax. An hour’s drive from Darjeeling city, you can discover the secrets of the world-famous Darjeeling tea, practise tea tasting, meet the tea pickers and take an optional hike through the extensive tea garden with an idyllic picnic by the river. If you wish, you can also discover the exotic markets and other sights of the tea city of Darjeeling or experience a ride on the world-famous Toy Train.
The humidity in the Darjeeling & Kalimpong region is very high in summer; the months of October and November are suitable as drier travel times, while fog and rainfall must be expected from March to June and in September from time to time. The following temperatures can be expected: During the Darjeeling trek: March – April +16 to +24 C° during the day, +5 to +12 C° at night; October – November +2 to +12 C° during the day, -2 to +6 C° at night.
