Itinerary
- Day 1-4: Arrival from Bagdogra airport – transfer to East Sikkim. Experience the capital Gangtok (handicrafts, orchids, viewpoints and much more), meet the Lepcha people and immerse yourself in the Tibetan-Buddhist cultural heritage of the Rumtek region.
- Day 5-11: Travel on to South and West Sikkim with various hiking options, insights into the everyday life of small farmers (rice fields of Martam, Temi tea garden, monastery school in the countryside, Pemayangtse temple, Dubdi & Rinchenpong, ruins from kingdom times and much more). Stay overnight as a house guest or in privately run lodges and hotels that reflect the cultural heritage of Sikkim.
- Day 12: Return to Bagdogra airport or continue on with a connecting program Darjeeling, Sikkim East, Sikkim North
